Borga på Eggum is a Historic and Protected Site at 8360 Eggum, Norway

Borga is a hilltop site above the village of Eggum, on the exposed north coast of Vestvågøy in Lofoten. It is the ruin of a German radar station built during the Second World War, and the circular stone base that once held the rotating antenna still sits on the height, looking out over the sea it was meant to watch. The climb up from Eggum is short but steep, and from the top the ground falls away to the open Norwegian Sea, with the beach and boulder fields below and mountains rising to either side. The village faces roughly north into the sea, which gives the whole coast an open horizon for the northern lights. On dark winter nights at this latitude the aurora is seen often over the water here. Grass and heather cover the slopes in summer, grazed by sheep, while snow reaches the coast for much of the rest of the year.
