The STF Abisko Turiststation is the Swedish Tourist Association's mountain station at Abisko, a hub for travellers in this corner of Swedish Lapland. It offers hotel rooms, hostel beds and cabins, a restaurant and a shop, and stands at the northern end of the Kungsleden, the country's most famous long-distance trail. In winter it is a centre for aurora tourism, with the Aurora Sky Station reached by chairlift nearby. Abisko lies at around 68°N and is renowned for the clear skies that make it one of the best places on earth to see the northern lights.
