Botanisk hage is a Garden in Norway

Botanisk hage is the Arctic-Alpine Botanic Garden in Tromsø, run by the Arctic University of Norway and reckoned the northernmost botanical garden in the world. It grows mountain and polar plants from across the Arctic and the high ranges of the world, arranged across open beds on a sloping site north of the city centre. There are no walls or gates, and the garden is free and open all year. It is at its fullest in the brief, bright summer, when the plants flower under the midnight sun. Snow covers the beds through the winter, when this far north the northern lights are often seen overhead.
