Perspektivet Museum is an Art Museum at Storgata 95, Tromsø, Norway

Perspektivet Museum is a cultural history and photography museum in the centre of Tromsø, on Storgata. It looks at people rather than grand events. The exhibitions explore society, identity and everyday life, past and present, often through documentary photography and the stories of ordinary Tromsø residents, and they do not shy away from difficult subjects such as migration, belief and prejudice. At its core is a large photographic archive, drawn on to trace how the town and its people have changed over more than a century. The museum occupies a group of historic timber houses, among the oldest buildings in the city, which are worth a look in their own right. Entry is free, and the displays change regularly. It makes a thoughtful stop between the harbour and the bustle of Storgata.
