Hans Egede is a Sculpture Garden in Greenland

A statue of Hans Egede stands on a hill above the old colonial harbour of Nuuk, looking out over the city he founded. The Dano-Norwegian missionary established the settlement in 1728, and it grew into the capital of Greenland. The statue is a fine viewpoint over the old town and the fjord, though Egede remains a complicated figure, remembered both as the city's founder and for the colonial era he began.
