Ryten is a Mountain in Fredvang, Norway

Ryten is a mountain on the west coast of Moskenesøya in Lofoten, near the village of Fredvang. It is best known for the view from its summit, where the cliff edge drops away to the beach at Kvalvika far below and the open sea beyond. The walk in from the Torvdalen trailhead takes a couple of hours across boggy moor and up the final slope. On dark winter nights the height gives a wide, unobstructed view of the northern lights over the sea to the west. The summit rock juts out over the drop, a much-photographed perch on clear days. Grass and heather cover the lower ground in summer, while snow and ice hold the upper mountain for much of the year and can make the route hard going.
