The Bakery at Å

The Bakery at Å is a Bakery at Å Vegen 21, 8392 Sørvågen, Norway

The Bakery at Å is a working bakery in the village of Å, at the far southern end of the road through Lofoten. It bakes fresh bread and pastries in a wood-fired oven dating from 1878, and forms part of the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum that fills the old buildings of the village. Cinnamon buns straight from the oven are the usual draw. Å sits where the mountains meet the sea at the tip of Moskenesøya, a quiet spot to warm up with something fresh on a winter day before the northern lights come out over the water.
