Systrafoss is a Waterfall at Klausturvegur, Kirkjubæjarklaustur, Iceland

Systrafoss is a graceful waterfall at the edge of the village of Kirkjubæjarklaustur, east of Vík. The Fossá river drops in two strands over the wooded cliff behind the settlement, feeding a pool below, and a path climbs beside it to Systravatn, a lake on the plateau above. Its name, the sisters' falls, ties to the old convent that once stood here, woven into local legend.

The aurora season here runs from September to April, with the best chances of seeing the Northern Lights in October and March. The natural setting around Systrafoss makes it a wonderful spot to watch for the Northern Lights.
