Stjórnarfoss is a pretty waterfall just outside Kirkjubæjarklaustur, east of Vík, where the Stjórn river spills over a broad, mossy rock face into a wide pool. Framed by green banks and columnar rock, it is a peaceful, less-visited spot, an easy stop off the Ring Road on the south coast.
