Kirkeparken is a Park in Tromsø, Norway

Kirkeparken is a small green park in the centre of Tromsø, in northern Norway. It takes its name from the church at its heart. The park wraps around Tromsø Cathedral, the Tromsø domkirke, a handsome timber building of 1861 and one of the largest wooden churches in the country. Lawns, mature trees and benches make it a pleasant place to pause between the shops and cafés of the surrounding streets, and in the brief northern summer it fills with people making the most of the long daylight. Being right in the middle of town, it is more a spot to sit and watch the world go by than a wilderness escape. A short walk in almost any direction leads to the harbour, the museums and the bustle of Storgata.
