Domkirken i Bodø is a Church in Bodø, Norway

Domkirken i Bodø is the cathedral of the Church of Norway in Bodø, seat of the Bishop of the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The old town church was destroyed in the bombing of Bodø during the Second World War, and the present cathedral was built in its place in 1956 to designs by the architects Gudolf Blakstad and Herman Munthe-Kaas. It is a long concrete basilica with a free-standing bell tower, seating around 850. It stands in the centre of Bodø, one of the landmarks of the rebuilt postwar town.
