Námaskarð is a Hot Spring at Námaskarðsvegur, Reykjahlíð, Iceland

Námaskarð is the mountain pass beside Námafjall near Lake Mývatn, giving its name to the geothermal area that spreads below. The ground here steams and bubbles with mud pots and fumaroles, the bare earth coloured by sulphur and minerals, and the pass offers wide views over the volcanic landscape. It sits on the road east from Mývatn, an easy and dramatic stop.
