The aurora season here runs from August to April, with the best chances of seeing the Northern Lights in September, October, February and March. With minimal light pollution, Miles Canyon could offer a dramatic backdrop for aurora viewing.

  • For a quick hike with wonderful views : near the suspension bridge, walk the Lower Canyon City trail (be careful..) and return via the Upper Canyon City Trail. About 3 km round trip)
