Seltjarnarnespottur is a Hot Spring in Iceland

Seltjarnarnes is home to a pair of small geothermal hot pots out near the tip of the peninsula west of Reykjavík, close to the Grótta lighthouse. Simple and free to use, the warm tubs sit right by the shore, a quiet local spot to soak with the sea and sky spread out around you. Away from the city lights, it is a fine place to watch for the northern lights on a clear winter night.

  • It’s a beautiful and secluded area for foot bathing and enjoying the view! Sometimes the water is way too hot, but other times it is perfect. Best enjoyed on a cold evening with a beer and friends!

  • It’s about a 100 meters before the end of the road. Behind the 2 cabins. Very nice place to put your feet in and enjoy the view.
