Funktionærmessen is the restaurant of the Spitsbergen Hotel, housed in what was once the mess hall for the coal company's officials, high above Longyearbyen. Its wood-panelled rooms keep an old-world, colonial feel, and the kitchen serves refined Arctic and international cooking. A characterful spot for dinner with views over the town and valley.
