Fruene is a much-loved café and chocolaterie in the centre of Longyearbyen, billed as the world's northernmost chocolate maker. It serves coffee, cakes, light meals and handmade chocolates, including some shaped like polar bears, in a warm and welcoming room. A favourite gathering place in town and an easy spot to thaw out.
