Rørvikstranda is a Beach at Henningsvaerveien, 8310 Kabelvåg, Norway

Rørvikstranda is a beach on the island of Austvågøya in Lofoten, set along the Henningsvær road southwest of Kabelvåg. Its curve of pale sand meets clear, shallow water, with low grassy dunes behind and mountains rising across the bay. At around 68°N it sits deep in the auroral zone, and on dark winter nights the northern lights are seen often here, reflected in the wet sand and the calm shallows. The beach faces roughly west over the sea, which gives it an open horizon for watching them. In summer the same spot draws walkers and campervans, drawn by the light and the easy roadside access. Snow and frost reach the shore through much of the rest of the year.
