Klatrekaféen is the café of the North Norwegian Climbing School in Henningsvær, on the island of Austvågøya in Lofoten. It has long been a gathering place for climbers drawn to the granite crags around the village, and describes itself as “a strange hybrid of English pub, Nepalese tea house, sidewalk restaurant in Nice and base camp on Everest.” The kitchen serves hearty food and the walls are hung with photographs and gear from years of expeditions. In the heart of the old fishing village, it is a warm place to gather before a clear winter night out watching the northern lights over the harbour.

  • Excellent fish stew, day stew(broccoli creamsoup with ginger) and veggie burger! Nice view and cozy place price is 140-180 crones average for the dish. The staff is also nice, we got meals in 10 mins!
