Whistlers Mountain rises above the town of Jasper, its summit reached by the Jasper SkyTram or a long hiking trail. From the top, at over 2,400 metres, the view sweeps across six mountain ranges, the Athabasca valley and the town far below. The mountain takes its name from the whistling call of the hoary marmots that live on its slopes. High and open, it is a superb vantage for the Rockies and the dark, star-filled skies of the park.
