Muddus is a Campground and Hiking Trail in Finland

Muddus is the home of Marja and Ilkka in Inari, deep in Finnish Lapland, and the base for the small, private experiences they share with visitors. Their life follows the seasons: fishing through the year, working with their Greenland dogs and spending much of their time out on the lakes and in the surrounding wilds. In winter the dogs pull sleds across the frozen lakes, and in the warmer months everything moves back onto open water. Rather than a staged tourist programme, a day here means joining the couple for a piece of ordinary life in the far north, unhurried and shaped by the weather, the snow and whatever nature offers. Inari sits at around 69°N, well within the auroral zone, and on a clear winter night far from any town the lakes and open fells give a superb outlook for the northern lights.
