Kaunispään Huippu is a panoramic restaurant perched at the summit of Kaunispää Fell, above the resort of Saariselkä in Finnish Lapland. Standing above the treeline, it serves local dishes and homemade pastries with a wide view over Saariselkä and the wilderness beyond, a welcome place to pause for lunch, coffee or a sweet treat, whether after a day on the slopes or a drive up the fell. Saariselkä lies at around 68°N, deep in the auroral zone, and the open, high vantage clear of the trees makes the summit a fine spot to watch the northern lights on a dark winter night.
