Kaunispää is a Mountain and Scenic Lookout at Kaunispääntie, 99830 Inari, Finland

Kaunispää is a 438-metre fell in the municipality of Inari, some 255 kilometres north of Rovaniemi and rising just above the resort of Saariselkä. A road runs almost to the top, making it one of the easiest fells in the area to reach, and the summit opens onto a wide view over the surrounding tundra and fells. At around 68°N, well within the auroral zone, the bald, open top is a popular place to take in the midnight sun in summer and the northern lights on a dark winter night.

The aurora season here runs from September to March, with the best chances of seeing the Northern Lights in September, October, February and March. With minimal light pollution, Kaunispää could offer a dramatic backdrop for aurora viewing.
