Cape Merry is a Scenic Lookout at Churchill MB, Canada

Cape Merry is a rocky headland where the Churchill River meets Hudson Bay, a short way from the town. A national historic site, it holds the remains of an eighteenth-century stone battery built to guard the river mouth alongside the great Prince of Wales Fort across the water. It is a fine spot to watch beluga whales in the estuary through summer and to look out over the bay. At around 59°N, on a clear, dark night the open cape is also a striking place to see the northern lights.
