Alaska Aviation Museum is an Airport, Boat or Ferry and Museum at 4721 Aircraft Dr (at Postmark Dr), Anchorage, AK 99502, United States
The Alaska Aviation Museum sits on the Lake Hood Seaplane Base in Anchorage, the busiest floatplane base in the world. Once known as the Alaska Aviation Heritage Museum, it has worked since 1988 to preserve the state's aviation history and to spark public interest in flying. Aircraft is central to life in Alaska, where many communities can be reached only by plane, and the museum tells that story through vintage aircraft, exhibits and a lakeside spot where floatplanes still come and go.
