Erica Mat og Vinbar sits centrally in Alta, a short stroll from the other eating and drinking places along Markedsgata. It grew out of two earlier ventures, Du Verden Matbar, which opened in 2013, and the pizza and pasta spot Crosta next door, now folded into a single restaurant named after the heather that grows across Norway. The kitchen turns out house-made pasta and wood-fired pizza alongside northern dishes such as reindeer sirloin and grilled stockfish, and the wine bar suits anything from a quiet glass and a snack to a long gathering with family and friends.
