Lystigarður Akureyrar | Botanical Gardens is a Botanical Garden at Fjórðungssjúkrahús, 600 Akureyri, Iceland

The Akureyri Botanical Garden is one of the northernmost botanical gardens in the world, laid out on a slope above the town. Since 1912 it has grown a remarkable range of plants, both native Icelandic flora and species from around the globe, thriving here despite the latitude thanks to the long summer daylight. Free to enter, its lawns, beds and paths make a peaceful green haven, and a café sits among the flowers.
