Brynja is a much-loved ice cream parlour in Akureyri, said to be the oldest in Iceland and famous across the country for its soft-serve. Icelanders happily queue for it whatever the weather, and its creamy ice cream has drawn a devoted following for generations. No visit to the town is quite complete without one.
