Hafragilsfoss is a powerful waterfall on the Jökulsá á Fjöllum, a little downstream of Dettifoss in northeast Iceland. It drops around 27 metres into the deep Jökulsárgljúfur canyon, whose layered rock walls and old volcanic crater nearby make a dramatic setting. Quieter than its famous neighbour, it rewards those who seek it out with a grand view into the gorge.
