Skool Beans is a much-loved little coffee shop in Vík, run out of a converted school bus. Its friendly owner turns out proper espresso drinks and treats in a cosy, colourful setting, and its warmth and character have won it a devoted following. A charming stop for a good coffee on the south coast.

  • If you love cats, you’ve got to stop in to meet (ie, get ignored by) Sir Jeffrey, the three-legged cat. And good luck resisting his adorable merch! I also recommend the mocha. All-round great vibes.

  • Try the chocolate wasabi coffee…it’s surprisingly pleasant. Oh, this restaurant is in an old refurbished bus.
