Öxarárfoss is a Waterfall and Scenic Lookout at Efrivallavegur, Þingvallahreppur, Iceland, located in Þingvellir National Park (Þingvellir þjóðgarður)

The aurora season here runs from September to April, with the best chances of seeing the Northern Lights in October and March. The natural setting around Öxarárfoss makes it a wonderful spot to watch for the Northern Lights.
Nice waterfall with woods pathways. However, it is small waterfall that doesn’t worth to drive long distance to see but if you are in the National park go & enjoy.

Perfectly tasteful water you can drink and walk on the cold fresh water, but only in summer :)

This is very beautifully place you do have to pay for parking on your phone which is 750 isk as they don’t have any parking meters so be there warned
