Longyearbyen Camping is a Campground in Longyearbyen, Svalbard and Jan Mayen

Longyearbyen Camping sits on the open tundra by the shore near the airport, the northernmost campsite in the world. A simple base of tents and a service hut, exposed to the Arctic weather with mountains and glaciers all around, it draws hardy travellers through the brief summer and the midnight sun. As a precaution against polar bears the site is watched and fenced. At around 78°N it lies far inside the auroral zone, and in the dark months the sky above can blaze with the northern lights.

  • Everything might not be clean as you can expected (like toilet & shower). And you're really far from the city: ~5km. Could be a freezing walk to go AND back!
