Levi is Finland's leading ski resort, in the village of Sirkka in Lapland. Built up over years of World Cup racing and pioneering in snow-making and lifts, it has the country's largest network of pistes and a lively resort village at its foot. Skiing and snowboarding are the winter draw, while summer brings an activity park and mountain biking on the front slopes. At around 68°N, deep in the auroral zone, it is as well known for its northern lights as for its snow.
