The Scalloway Museum tells the story of the old capital of Shetland, the village of Scalloway. Its displays range over local history and crofting life, but its centrepiece is the Shetland Bus, the daring wartime operation in which Norwegian fishing boats ran secretly between Shetland and occupied Norway, carrying agents, refugees and arms. A small but moving museum beneath the old castle.
