Mount Healy rises above the entrance area of Denali National Park, and the trail to its overlook is one of the most popular hikes near the park entrance. The path climbs steadily through spruce forest and out onto open slopes, reaching a high vantage with sweeping views over the Nenana River valley and, on a clear day, toward Denali itself. The exposed, elevated outlook also makes it a striking place to watch the northern lights on a dark night, at around 63°N well inside the auroral zone.
