The aurora season here runs from August to April, with the best chances of seeing the Northern Lights in September, October, February and March. Explore Gold Dredge #8 by day, then head outside after dark to look for the aurora.
A crazy giant old gold dredge from the latter days of Fairbanks' original gold rush. You can run around in it! Crazy!

What a great place. This is how a venue should be run. Informative, interesting, happy friendly locals, FREE GOLD, cookies, coffee, and hot chocolate. Souvenirs reasonably priced.

I liked it very much. The visit lasted 2 hours but it was very fast. We found $12 in gold but they don't buy it :(
