Creamer's Field is a Park at 1300 College Rd, Fairbanks, AK 99701, United States

Creamer's Field is a migratory waterfowl refuge on the northern edge of Fairbanks, on the grounds of a former dairy farm. Its open fields and wetlands draw great flocks of sandhill cranes, geese and ducks on their spring and autumn migrations, and the old farm buildings house a visitor centre and nature trails wind through the surrounding woods. It is a peaceful spot for birdwatching and walking close to town. At around 65°N, almost under the auroral oval, the open fields also give a broad, dark view for the northern lights on a clear winter night.

Aurora hunting in Fairbanks?

The aurora season here runs from August to April, with the best chances of seeing the Northern Lights in September, October, February and March. The open spaces around Creamer's Field can provide unobstructed views of the Northern Lights.
