The Alaska Native Heritage Center is a cultural centre and museum in Anchorage, where visitors of all backgrounds can deepen their understanding of the state's Indigenous peoples. Life-sized village sites set around the grounds show the traditional dwellings of different Alaska Native cultures, while the Hall of Cultures and the Ch'k'iqadi Gallery hold exhibitions and Native art, and films play in the theatre. Through the summer the centre comes fully alive with guided tours, dance performances and demonstrations of the Alaska Native Games, and its café opens for the season. Winter visits are quieter and self-guided, with an archival audio tour to lead the way around.
