The MacBride Museum of Yukon History sits on the bank of the Yukon River in downtown Whitehorse, telling the story of the territory from its First Nations heritage through the Klondike Gold Rush to the present. Its galleries and historic buildings hold everything from gold nuggets and mining relics to natural history and the cabin of Sam McGee, made famous by the poet Robert Service. It is the place to get to grips with the Yukon's colourful past.
