Restaurant Nili serves Lappish delicacies in the heart of Rovaniemi, close to the hotels and safari companies. Its cornerstones are pure Lappish and Finnish ingredients, cooked with heart and soul from start to finish, and the warm, atmospheric rooms are meant to carry you off to the fells and wilderness. The furnishings are genuine Lappish handicraft, rich in local wood, reindeer horn and reindeer leather, across a main dining room, a smaller Reindeer room and Nili's Nest just over the street. The name means an old Lappish storehouse, once raised high on a tree stump to keep food safe. In over fifteen years it has grown into one of the best-known Lappish restaurants in the world, winning awards for its food and service alike.
