Sugarloaf is a hill near the entrance to Denali National Park, its rounded shape giving it its name. A hike to the top rewards walkers with open views over the Nenana River valley and the mountains of the park beyond. Away from the visitor village, its raised, open ground also makes it a good spot to look for the northern lights on a dark night, at around 63°N deep within the auroral zone.
